Ariel Ferreira is the Founder and President/CEO here at Albas Ferreira Foundation. Born and raised in Guinea-Bissau, Ariel has a natural passion for working in regions struggling with poverty, education, health care and political instability. With a history in Sales and Marketing, Ariel is now pursuing a B.A. in Political Science. In the future, Ariel plans on using his natural talent for leadership and dedication to leading by example to make the world a better place.
Angela Purcell is the Co-founder and Secretary/COO here at Albas Ferreira Foundation. With experience in event planning and project management, she is no stranger to the trials we face as philanthropists. When she’s not busy brainstorming her next fundraiser or pursuing her degree in International Business Development, she’s helping people in all industries reach their true potential through perspective coaching and academic consulting.
Belinda Yan is the Co-founder and CFO here at Albas Ferreira Foundation. She has years of experience building organizations and managing funds. Belinda currently works at Metropolitan Capital in San Francisco as a Private Capital Manager. Prior to joining the team, Belinda received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California Berkeley with a concentration in finance. Belinda is passionate about furthering education in youth and is excited to be part of Alba’s Ferreira Foundation.
Shelby Lemons is the Director of Grant Development here at the Albas Ferreira Foundation. She has experience in nonprofit development, marketing, and operations. Passionate about education, Shelby also works at Reading Partners as the National Development Coordinator. Prior to joining the team, Shelby received a Master of Public Affairs with a concentration in nonprofit management from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Sociology, and Spanish from Principia College.
Denise Machuca is a board member for Albas Ferreira Foundation. She currently works for Progress Foundation and volunteers for Make-A-Wish Foundation. Denise considers it an honor to be able to serve her community and others in need for many years. She received her B.A. in Psychology and has been using it to counsel underserved citizens in local communities suffering with mental and emotional challenges. When Denise isn’t working or volunteering she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
